Frequently Asked Questions

VerraShield VapourTek Titan is a heavy-duty, five-layer breathable roof membrane designed to protect buildings from water ingress, condensation, and moisture while improving thermal efficiency. It is suitable for both residential and commercial roofing applications.

VerraShield VapourTek Titan is designed for use under:

  • Masonry tile roofs
  • Metal tile roofs
  • Profiled metal roof cladding

It is suitable for timber and steel-framed buildings constructed in accordance with the NCC.

Yes. VerraShield VapourTek Titan contributes to compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC 2022) for damp and weatherproofing requirements in Class 1–10 buildings when installed according to VerraShield installation guidelines.

Yes. The membrane is vapour permeable (Class 4), allowing water vapour to escape while preventing liquid water from entering the roof system. This helps reduce condensation and moisture build-up within roof cavities.

No. VerraShield VapourTek Titan is specifically designed as a roof membrane and must not be used as a wall wrap. For wall applications, use a dedicated wall wrap product such as VerraShield VapourGate Titan.

The membrane should not be exposed to direct weather or UV light for more than 30 days. Roof cladding should be installed as soon as possible after installation to maintain product performance and warranty.

Yes. VerraShield VapourTek Titan is fire retardant and has been tested to AS 1530.2, making it suitable for Australian roofing applications requiring fire performance.

The membrane is suitable for roof pitches of3 degrees and above. It should not be installed on roofs with a pitch below 3 degrees.

No. It is not suitable for unlined applications such as sheds, garages, warehouses, canopies, soffits, or lean-to structures. Using the product in these applications will void the warranty.

The membrane should be installed tightly without creases, with a minimum 150mm overlap between sheets. It should be fixed using appropriate fasteners, installed by a qualified building professional, and follow the VerraShield installation guidelines for the specific roof type.
